Oct 6 – A Strong Driving Wind

Today the workers completed the installation of the circulation fans in our church. The scaffolding has been removed and we are able to resume our regular liturgical practices. Guests will no longer be obstructed, distracted, or impeded from joining us for Mass or the Liturgy of the Hours.

The fans are quite discreet and generally unnoticed in the peak of the ceiling. They are also fairly inaudible at low settings. At full power they are more audible and the circulating air is strongly felt. Now we will begin figuring out the best settings for the different seasons and appropriate for the particular times of day when the church is in use.

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were.
