Wednesday in the Twelfth Week of Ordinary Time

Scripture Readings: Gen 15:1-13, 17-18;   Mt. 7:15-20 

“By their fruits you will know them”  because good trees bear good fruit.

Another lesson we learn from trees is the importance of the way they are leaning, because “As a tree leans so will it fall. “ ^{1   Qoheleth wars us,  “Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie”  (Eccl. 11:3).  When it dies, a good tree leaning towards heaven will not fall towards hell. So, “Be careful about the way you are leaning.”}
